TalentTrekFinland works with international students, jobseekers and employers in Northern Finland. Part of our material is published in English so that you can get started before your Finnish is fluent.
What you can do in English
- Book a guidance session and go through your situation with an adviser.
- Join a company meetup and talk to local employers before you apply.
- Use the jobseeker checklist to see what a Finnish employer expects from an application.
Our language courses are free of charge for people in the project target group. The groups run both online and on site, in the daytime and in the evening, so that taking part is possible alongside work or studies.
Where Finnish is still needed
Finnish remains the working language in many workplaces, and most of the pages on this site are in Finnish. In practice this is rarely a reason not to apply: in most roles the language grows alongside the work, and employers are asked to say so in the job advertisement.
If a page you need is only available in Finnish, get in touch and we will go through it with you.
